The short answer

Zemun is ten kilometres from the airport, the shortest transfer we drive. A booked AirGo car to any address in Zemun starts at 2.500 RSD, the same as New Belgrade, and takes 15 to 25 minutes — to the Danube quay, Gardoš hill or the residential streets of Zemun Polje and Batajnica.

Getting to Zemun

Zemun was its own town until the twentieth century and still feels like one: a Danube quay lined with fish restaurants, the Gardoš tower above the roofs, a market square and narrow streets that predate Belgrade’s boulevards. Visitors come for the river, residents live in the quieter streets behind it.

From the airport the road runs through Surčin and into Zemun from the west, so the ride avoids the city centre altogether. Batajnica and Zemun Polje, on the way, are closer still. The whole municipality is priced as one zone with New Belgrade.

Why book ahead for Zemun

1

Family visits and long stays

Most rides to Zemun are to a home, not a hotel: visiting relatives, a month-long apartment rental, a return from working abroad. Two suitcases and a child seat are a normal request here.

2

Night flights from the lowest-fare zone

Budget flights land late and leave early. A car reserved in your name costs the same at 02:00 as at noon, and nobody has to drive you to the airport and back.

3

The quay’s one-way streets

The old streets around the quay and Gardoš are one way and often closed for events. Our drivers come from this side of the city and know which approach is open.

Good to know before you ride

  • Summer weekends: the quay fills up in the evening and parking is scarce. Tell the driver the restaurant and they drop you at the nearest point.

  • Batajnica and Zemun Polje are closer to the airport than the quay — the same fare, a shorter ride.

  • Returning to the airport on a weekday morning, add ten minutes: the Zemun side of the A1 is busiest between 07:30 and 09:00.
